Shrubs Ericaceae Herbs Alpines

A garden without plants is unthinkable. If you grow vegetables for food you are helping the environment. If you grow trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants you are also helping. When we use chemicals i.e. weed killers, pesticides etc, then we reduce that benefit. To kill anything you should have a very good reason. Birds

The architestral plants that provide beauty in colour, form and aroma. While providing food for us and food and shelter for wildlife.

  • I am trying to grow a member of every Ericaceae genus. I offer help to anyone with similar interest and would appreciate any help.
  • Alpines
  • We grow alpines in troughs, gravel, hypertufa and under glass. Many plants are easy but some a worthy challenge.

They provide colour & scent in the garden attracting bees & butterflies. In the kitchen they improve so many dishes. We have large number of mint moths, Fairy moths etc. We grow about 40 genera of culinary herbs.
