Tropical mangroves, saline lagoons, estuaries, mudflats, rocky shoreline. Range:- Breeds on small islands off the coasts of far eastern Russia, Korea and mainland China. It formerly bred in Taiwan and Hong Kong now only a passage migrant . It winters in Japan, the [Philippines, Eastern Visayas,  Bohol, Cebu, Catanduanes   Leyte,] Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Brunei, Vagrant to USA Habitat
3-5 eggs, incubation, by both parents, 24-30 days, fledging 36-40 days. Clutch
Fish, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds, chicks, crustaceans & large insects. Food
