Our breeing Blackcaps migrate to Southern Europe and Africa. In recent years Eatern European birds are overwintering with us. Global warming? It may be due to available food. They feed on the nectare from a winter flowering shrubs. Mahonia X Chatity is a good plant for Blackcaps.
